Los futuros menores vuelven entonces desde el mismo futuro a decirnos que no había un tiempo científico tan lineal ni medible; que no éramos tan modernos como pensábamos y que, si queremos seguir existiendo, la estructura del conocimiento no puede no incluir ese saber que viene de lo que se escapa y se filtra por entre las agujas del reloj. En la coda final –“La tierra y el pie”– propongo algunas líneas de lecturas contemporáneas para pensar en el futuro de los futuros menores, un hilo del cual seguir tirando para desbaratar el paradigma de sentido fijo, evolutivo y binario que hasta ahora nos unía y nos separaba del mundo y de eso que solíamos llamar naturaleza.

Capítulo I

Del futuro monumental al margen de alegría

“Yet, it can happen, suddenly, unexpectedly, and most frequently in the half-light-of-glimpses, that we catch sight of another visible order which intersects with ours and has nothing to do with it (…). We come upon a part of the visible which wasn’t destined for us. Perhaps it was destined for night-birds, reindeer, ferrets, eels, whales… Our customary visible order is not the only one: it coexists with other orders. Stories of fairies, spirites, ogres were a human attempt to come to terms with this coexistence (…). Children feel it intuitively, because they have the habit of hiding behind things. There they discover the interstices between different sets of the visible”.
