In particular, SDG 10 aims to alleviate inequalities and ensure that no one is left behind by promoting the social, economic and political inclusion of all people. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to promote policies at the international level that improve the regulation and control of markets and financial institutions, also betting on development cooperation and foreign direct investment in the regions that need it most (UN, 2015).
In 2021, the European Union approved the Action Plan for the European Pillar of Social Rights which proposes concrete actions for the implementation of an economic recovery project that aims to reduce unemployment, strengthen training capacities for a new productive model and reduce poverty and social exclusion by 2030 (European Commission, 2021).
From this panorama, the commitment to social inclusion becomes an ongoing challenge that is clearly accentuated when we focus on migrants or people with disabilities. Thus, the new Strategy on the Rights of People with Disabilities for the period 2021-2030, warns of the multiple obstacles faced by this vulnerable sector mainly in terms of physical accessibility, education, training and recreational activities (European Commission, 2021).
