Die Skill Files der einzelnen Lehrwerke teilen sich in verschiedene Kategorien. So gibt es neben diskursförderlichen (hier: textlich bzw. medial geprägten) auch solche, die die individuelle Sprachproduktion ausbauen sollen – wie z.B. im Bereich der Lese- und Schreibtechniken. Die folgende Tabelle listet in einer Synopse eine Auswahl der verschiedenen Skill Files in allen verglichenen Lehrwerken auf, die jeweils eine Entsprechung in den Vergleichslehrwerken haben – bezogen auf die text- und medienanalytischen Kompetenzen und auf zwei der fünf wesentlichen skills, Schreiben und Lesen.
